This Privacy Policy explains how Logispark Ventures Inc. ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Buzmate platform. We are committed to complying with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

1. Who We Are

Logispark Ventures Inc. is a corporation incorporated under the laws of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada. We operate Buzmate, an AI receptionist and CRM platform for small businesses. Our principal office is in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

We do not collect payment card information directly. Payments are processed by our third-party billing provider.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and improve the Buzmate Service.
Authenticate your account and maintain your session.
Power the AI receptionist to answer calls on behalf of your business.
Send you Service-related notifications (e.g., missed call summaries, appointment reminders).
Respond to support requests.
Detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information or your customers' information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Processors

We work with the following sub-processors to deliver the Service. All are bound by data processing agreements and appropriate safeguards. Your data may be processed on servers located in the United States.

Cross-border transfers of personal information to the United States are made on the basis that Logispark Ventures Inc. remains accountable for the protection of that information and requires its processors to provide a comparable level of protection.

5. Call Recording and Consent

The AI receptionist (Agent Plan) records telephone conversations and generates transcripts. Under Canadian law (PIPEDA and applicable provincial legislation), at least one party to a call must consent to recording.

As the account holder, you are responsible for ensuring that callers to your business line are informed that calls may be recorded or handled by an AI. We recommend including a disclosure in your AI greeting script.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

Account data — retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days after termination, then deleted.
CRM records and call logs — retained while your account is active. You may export or delete records at any time from within the app.
Call transcripts — retained for 90 days, then automatically purged from our active systems.
Billing records — retained for 7 years as required by Canadian tax law.

7. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

You have the right to:

Access — Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you or your business.
Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
Withdrawal of Consent — Withdraw consent for uses of your information (which may affect your ability to use some or all of the Service).
Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention obligations).
Complaint — File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

Encrypted communications over HTTPS/TLS for all data in transit.
Access controls limiting who within Logispark Ventures Inc. can access production data.
Supabase Row Level Security policies restricting database access by tenant.
No storage of payment card data (handled entirely by our billing processor).

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@thebuzmate.com.

9. Cookies and Analytics

The Buzmate mobile application does not use cookies. Our website (thebuzmate.com) may use minimal analytics to understand aggregate traffic. We do not use cross-site tracking or behavioural advertising.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the Service. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page reflects when the current version took effect.
